After living in the city for a few years, I often get asked for tips when friends or family come to visit. After thorough, yet accidental, investigation, I can confirm that New York is best experienced with a few points of interest surrounded by complete spontaneity.
Last week I had the pleasure of playing tourist in my own town. My day started with one key event, a lunch time press preview for Wildfox Couture, that lured me down to SoHo. As I walked to and from this appointment, I absorbed the buzzing energy about me and channeled it in to finding a new lunch spot, discovering a new florist and having myself a good ‘ol time. Carpe that Diem!
Whenever you plan a trip to NYC, your to-do-and-see list will always be longer than humanly possible. What sights or events you might miss will be replaced with crazy stories you couldn’t have dreamt up if you tried.
Do not fret, the Big Apple will worm her way in to your heart, whether you planned for it or not…
